The Grey Lynn Community Centre has 6 room areas that may be booked out. Included below are room capacities and brief description. Click on the headings for more detailed information for each space.
1 - Main Hall; capacity is 200 (either standing or seated theatre style) – Suitable for private functions, hui, weddings, receptions, gatherings, performances, rehearsals, film screenings, dance, yoga and exercise classes
2 – Garden Room; capacity is approximately 75 people depending on event. Suitable for meetings, workshops, exercise, dance and drama classes.
3 - Balcony Room, capacity is 20-25 people seated theatre style. Multi purpose room suitable for meetings, workshops, classes and small conferences etc.
4 - Richmond Room; capacity is 8 seated around a boardroom table. Suitable for small meetings or interviews.
5 – Oval Room; capacity is approx 20-25 people seated theatre style. Suitable for smaller groups, meetings, family conferences, classes and gatherings

- Trestle tables
- Chairs
- Large TV with DVD/Video player
- Projector & screen
- Stage (3 x portable units)
- Whiteboards

- Complete the Application for special licence (315k PDF)
- Send 3 copies of your application, including all the required information as stated in the guide, and the $63.00 fee to
